Augmented Reality has helped eBay’s iPhone Fashion app give true meaning to the saying “try before you buy.”  It takes about 30 seconds from start to finish – line up your eyes, pick your glasses and you’re ready to rock…..

Augmented Reality (AR) is used on Sunday’s as the yellow marker lines during football games.  It’s used by Chase Bank during New York Ranger games as ad space on the hockey boards behind the goalies.  Yelp, Urbanspoon, Layar and AroundMe use it on their iPhone apps for people to locate restaurants, bars and gas stations that are close by.  eBay’s iPhone Fashion app and eBay Classifieds with the Junaio iPhone app are just the latest ones to catch on.

Augmented Reality has been around for awhile, and I don’t get the feeling that it’s going anywhere soon.
